Trueman Appraisal Company is a commercial real estate appraisal firm founded by John Trueman in April 1987. John has been an appraiser since April 1972 with appraisal experience in all types of real estate. Prior to locating in Tacoma, John worked for Lyle H. Nagell & Co. Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a residential appraiser. In 1979 he moved to Washington State and joined Greer, Patterson, & Associates, Inc. in Tacoma, Washington, and in 1987 formed his own company, locating in the Old Town neighborhood in North Tacoma. He is Washington State Certified, a member of the Appraisal Institute, with both MAI and SRA designations, and a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.

John and his team are committed to providing the highest level of quality and service to our clients. Our appraisers maintain both mandatory and voluntary continuing education requirements. In addition, our appraisal reports are completed in compliance with The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice of the Appraisal Institute.

Our clients are both nationally and locally based and we are maintained on the approved appraiser list of many mortgage companies, banks, trust departments and relocation companies. Our clients include banks, state, county and city governmental agencies, attorneys, local school districts, and individuals.
